Basic Invite – Cards & Invitations

This year as well as the usual Christmas card that we send out featuring our boys, we are also ordering our baby announcement cards having just added to our family with the arrival of our new little guy (we now have 3 boys in total!)

I always like to look around online for a company who can print and mail my cards and invites to me and where I can create the best invite possible to make my cards look great and this year I am partnering with Basic Invite to design and print our cards through their online service!

This year I was introduced to Basic Invite and their selection of cards, style and service offered really stood out by being one of the few websites online that offers almost unlimited color options with instant online preview. Once your photo is uploaded if you aren’t keen on a certain section or choose to modify a certain part simply choose any element of the photo and change the color to one of over 180 on offer! Then before you commit and order your cards you can request a sample print and envelope to be sent to you to check you are happy with it before ordering!

My favorite part of Basic Invite is their service allowing you to make sure you have all your recipients’ addresses, in order to send out your cards, by allowing you to share a link on your Facebook, Twitter or Instagram accounts to request peoples’ addresses, which will then be stored in your account and can be selected during the design process. Such a great idea instead of having to look through Excel sheets and address books trying to find all of your recipients addresses! These days I am all for saving on time 🙂

Basic Invite stocks many styles of designs for showers, party invites, holiday cards etc and that extra personalized touch can always be obtained by adding that extra touch of gold, silver or rose gold foil to any design or be a little more colorful with your envelope style, as Basic Invite has over 40 different colors available to jazz up your card and add your personal touch to it.

I found ordering my cards online through their service, incredibly easy and user friendly, something we all look for in a website, right?! After chooing my template for the event I was then able to edit the design to reflect my style by choosing from the huge array of colour options available, editing wording and placement of text, choosing my envelope colour and design, type of paper for the card and cut. Best of all, for me, was the option to get a sample of what the card would look like mailed to me before I committed to ordering my design. We all know that nerve wracking moment of clicking “buy” online for our cards when we are wondering if we have made a spelling mistake or if the photo isn’t of the best quality etc and wondering how it will turn out!
